A comforting place to heal

Kevin Knipp is a licensed marriage and family therapist who has had the joy of offering individuals, couples, and families his counseling services over the past decade. He values a compassionate yet engaged approach that helps clients feel supported while still finding direction to fulfill their personal goals. He believes therapy should be tailored to the individual and that a warm, personal relationship is the strongest factor in positive change. His experience includes the inpatient hospital setting at Swedish American Hospital Center for Mental Health in Rockford, Illinois, as well as outpatient at the private practice setting. He has also taught at the undergraduate level at Northern Illinois University. He works with a variety of conditions including: communication problems, infidelity, depression, anxiety, panic disorders, personality issues, anger, and more. His practice is a reflection of his innate desire to make the world a wiser, happier, and more harmonious place.
